Please share this newsletter with your family, friends, and others in the community. NEW MISSION FOR LSPCA
Our mission may have changed, but our resolve has not.
In addition to rescuing the most critical-need animals in our community, we plan to provide educational programs in schools promoting ethical treatment of animals, become a resource for the community for pet care, pet food and low-cost veterinary services and promote spay/neuter programs to control the population of unwanted and discarded pets to ultimately eliminate euthanasia within our shelters.

To help us achieve these goals, we are offering community sponsorship opportunities to everyone in the community. Please consider sponsoring LSPCA to show your support for community programs and education to reduce the population of unwanted pets in Lancaster County.

This past week, The Lancaster News published an article detailing all of the wonderful changes LSPCA is making and our plans for the future. Read the full article HERE.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Would you know what to do if you saw an animal being neglected, starved, injured or mistreated in some way?

Everything you need to know, who to contact and the reporting process for Lancaster County is available on the shelter website.

Please don't look the other way or assume someone else will do something. It's up to all of us to be their voice!
LITTLE MAX IS READY TO GO HOME
I know many of you are wondering about Max. As a recap, young Max suffers from hydrocephalus which is causing him to be blind (or mostly blind - hard to say) and occasional seizures following his shunt surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. With his anti-seizure medication, his veterinarian has cleared him for adoption. Max gets along well with other dogs and seems to navigate his way around without issues. He can get a little feisty at times and struggles with some of his issues. He will need a home and family that is willing to work with him and who understand his special needs. He's a sweet and entertaining pup! If you are interested in meeting Max, please let us know. We want to thank everyone for the prayers and donations which have helped us provide Max all that he needs and allowing him to have the opportunity to live as normal a life as possible.
