WE NEED YOUR HELP

DO YOU DRIVE A PICKUP TRUCK?

We are actively looking for someone to help us as soon as possible for food pickup and delivery. We need someone to pickup food from the Food Bank of Iowa and drop it off at the Johnston Food Pantry. This commitment would be twice a month, some time between M-F 8am-4pm. If you are interested in helping on our front lines, please contact Andrea at (815) 868-1357.

CLOTHING WANTED
Many clients are doing their back-to-school shopping at our Clothes Closet. Summer is usually our slowest month for clothing donations, so we would love your clothing donations to get students off to a great start this school year. You can drop-off items during our regular business hours.

BACK TO SCHOOL CLINIC WAS A SUCCESS

On August 6th, the Johnston Partnership in collaboration with the Johnston Community School District and community volunteers hosted a Back to School Health and Resource Clinic. Services provided included physicals, lead screenings, immunizations, vision checks, dental checks, free haircuts, school registrations, free/reduced lunch applications, and connections with area/district resources.

Approximately 200 students were served, but unfortunately our school supply donations did not keep up with the demand. It's not to late to donate! If you can help us with any of the following donation items listed below, we will be sure they get passed on to the JCSD buildings for distribution.

JOHNSTON WOMEN'S SOCIAL CONNECTION
A big THANK YOU to the Johnston Women's Social Connection for their generous donation of 330 personal care items as well as a $200 monetary donation. The Johnston Partnership needs around 1,500 personal care items such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, deodorant, laundry soap and feminine products each month for our clients. We are grateful for the continued support of those in our community!

BISHOP DRUMM DRIVE
The residents of Bishop Drumm hosted an ice cream social and school supply drive in July. The school supply donations were a great help for our local students to get ready for the upcoming school year! THANK YOU!

JOHNSTON CHEER TEAM DONATIONS
They heard the call for donations and ANSWERED IT! Thank you to the Johnston Community School District cheer families. They helped out their peers by donating school supplies during their cheer camp this summer.
