During this year walkathon, a lot of things were the same as last year, but then a lot of things were very different.

It was same dedicated and enthusiastic crowd walking for a noble cause; south Indian breakfast with filter coffee; tri-color and red-white-blue flags and balloons celebrating the motherland and the homeland; Patrick doing a post race stretching…

But then, a lot of things were different. Donations and sponsorships reaching more than $14,000 (nearly a 50% increase from last year); a Yoga session to warm up the participants before the race, environment friendly stainless-steel tumblers for filter coffee, bio-degradable plates and cutleries, disuse of single-use plastic water bottles; Nannari sarbath to the delight of all the attendees...

Above all, a youth fair with activities like a youth-driven magic show, training in art-work..etc. Kids were nowhere to be seen running around. They were all engaged by the burgeoning youth committee. A true evidence of next-generation taking on this cause.
