FROM THE PRINCIPAL
NEW Ms. Heins continues her recovery from the injuries she suffered in her fall. I am pleased to tell
you that Mrs. Amy Anderson has agreed to step in for Ms. Heins in her absence. Mrs. Anderson
brings a wealth of talent and experience to share with our students. She is very excited to
foster the creativity of the students. We are so happy to have her join us!
Reminder Back to School Night is tonight! Wednesday, September 4th, 7-8 pm. There has been a change in the schedule. Please see Mrs. Lafferty's note to parents here.
The Scrip Office has been relocated to the parish office. If you wish to purchase Scrip in person, please go to Door A at the parish office and you will be buzzed into the office. This relocation was undertaken to improve school safety by eliminating visitors in the school building. The Scrip hours remain the same. You may also send your order to school with your child and it will be sent home that day.

FROM THE CCS OUTREACH CORNER
Update Spots still available! Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in volunteering in the community: Caring Cougars Outreach Club will be starting back up in October. There will be one meeting a month, the third Wed of each month from 3-4pm, and the opportunity to sign up for helping in the community 1-3 times a month. Past activities have included such things as Reading to Residents at Brittany Pointe, playing Special Olympics basketball, laying wreaths at Veteran’s graves, and time at Mitzvah Circle Foundation. If your child is interested, please email Jess Woehr at jesswoehr@hotmail.com with your child’s name and HR. Because there is limited space in the room we use, we will have to limit to 30 people, and ask that if you sign your child up, please consider committing to at least 2 activities in the year.
NEW Are your closets overflowing? Basement bulging? Cabinets cramped? Then it’s time to clean them out for a good cause! The Home & School Outreach Committee will be hosting its A nnual Fall Clothing Drive to benefit The Society of St. Vincent DePaul on Sunday, October 13th from 9am-12pm in the school parking lot. Look here for more information.
FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE

NEW If you need to drop off medication, or would like to speak with one of our school nurses, they will be available during Back to School Night, from 7 - 8 pm.

SCHOOL NEWS
Welcome to our NEW BOX TOPS contest for 2019-2020. Due to the transition from clipping Box Tops to scanning receipts, there will no longer be a classroom competition. Instead, if Corpus Christi School earns $2500 from Box Tops this year, all students will be treated to Via Veneto Italian Ice. Box Tops for Education is changing its program. Instead of clipping Box Tops, you will be able to scan your receipts and earn money for Corpus Christi Catholic School. Please view the letter from Box Tops for Education that explains this change here. Corpus Christi will continue to earn 10 cents for every Box Top. We will continue to collect any remaining traditional paper Box Tops. Simply send them in on the collection sheets, which are included in the link above. Please no expired Box Tops.
