Remembering Ben Mitten 1942-2019
Ben has been a valued customer and long-time friend of Kelseyville Lumber and our employees.Through the years Ben not only had many construction projects we supplied material for, but we also shared many personal victories with him. The marriage to our previous Office Manager, Margie Norton, who he was married to for 33 years. Adding to his family of two sons, Dan & Nick, Ben and Margie shared the birth of 3 more beautiful children, sons Christopher & Stephen and daughter Stephanie.
He began his construction career starting Best Way Construction with his brother Jerry after he returned home from his time serving Our Country with the Navy aboard the USS Carpenter. He moved to Kelseyville in 1972 and put his heart & soul into milling his own lumber to build his own home from scratch.
Ben was one of those customers we enjoyed to see walk through our doors. Always friendly with a smile and a story or joke to share. He was one of those special individuals we considered not only a valued customer but part of our family. He will be truly missed by us all.
