Block Party on Sunday, September 29. Please bring a side dish or
dessert to share as well as your drink of choice and a chair!
The Brookwood Place HOA Board met for their monthly
meeting on September 9, 2019 at the Public Market
at 7:00pm. All neighbors are encouraged to attend!
Below are some of the things discussed.
FALL BULKY ITEM PICK UP
Our next Bulky Item Pick Up date is tentatively scheduled for October 15, 2019. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact either Republic Services or the HOA Board at bwplenexa@gmail.com.
The City of Lenexa also has Dumpster Days coming up very soon - October 5. Some costs for items do apply; for more info about how to get rid of large or bulky items in Lenexa, please visit the "Dumpster Days" site for City of Lenexa.
POOL
Our Pool Chair, Michelle Kring, has been working very hard to prepare our neighborhood pool for the upcoming season change, as well as ensure it is kept in good shape until next summer. However, the board is needing some assistance with the wireless internet set up. If anyone has experience or expertise in wireless and modem issues, please contact either Michelle at chelleyo@everestkc.net, or the Board at bwplenexa@gmail.com.

Soup Kitchen (first Saturdays)
Next first Saturday is coming up - October 5th!
If you are interested in serving at the St. Mary's Kitchen, please contact Karen Miltko. The group will leave from Karen's house at 10:00 AM. Also, please continue to save toiletries such as lotions, shampoos, conditioners, toothbrushes, and other personal hygiene necessities. Following dates: November 2nd December 7th.

ARCHITECTURE
Just as a reminder, when considering any exterior projects, please contact Kevin Knipp at kevin.knipp@gmail.com. The project must be approved before the work has begun. This includes new roofs, painting the exterior of your home (even if it is the same color choice) and any project for the outside of your home. We want to ensure that the work aligns with the bylaws. To review the bylaws, please visit our website or email one of the Board Members.
ADVERTISE WITH US!
BWP Residents' children can advertise their services in the monthly newsletter free of charge. We will have a section with the child's name, contact info, and services offered (ie: mowing, babysitting, etc.) If a more extensive ad is wanted, a regular ad (see below) can be purchased. Our regular advertising will continue to be offered. If you have a business or service that you wish to advertise to our neighborhood, please consider using our newsletter as the advertising avenue.
The BWP resident costs are quite low and will reach all of our BWP residents.Payments should be made to "Brookwood Place Homes Association" and mailed to our address: PO Box 15372, Lenexa, KS 66285.
