The new school year is well underway, and we at Food for the Soul are ready to roll up our sleeves with you to help fight childhood hunger! 

The need is great. Our goal is to help 1,500 hungry students (K-12) to be sponsored for the entire school year. At first glance, feeding that large number of children through our Backpack Program may seem impossible. But what you may not know is that it only costs $5 per week to provide a child with six hearty meals and four snacks every weekend! That's not all. $5 a week also provides a hot pre-game meal to a food-insecure high school student-athlete through our Pre-Games Meal Program. Together, we can do a lot with a little. There are so many ways you can help "Fuel the Future" with Food for the Soul!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS!

Food for the Soul is looking for 30 high school students to volunteer to help with the Gala. Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including set up, serving, and clean up between 10AM - 1PM and 5PM - 9:30PM.

We are thrilled to share that our co-founder, Bob Sawler, is the recipient of the 2019 Tech Titan Community Hero Award! Tech Titans is the largest technology trade organization in Texas. On Friday, August 23, they recognized outstanding technology companies and individuals in the North Texas area who have made significant contributions to their industries at its annual awards gala.

This is a huge honor for Bob and the entire Food for the Soul Family. During this time of great celebration, we give all the praise and glory to God our Father. Our God is a God who sees, and we are humbled, honored, and grateful to be trusted to play a part in His plan of caring for so many children in need through Food for the Soul.
