The Final Round of voting is happening now and runs from, August 21- September 10, where the Top 3-5 businesses will be listed in each category. Vote for your favorite nominees in each category. **Participants have to vote in at least 20 categories for your ballot to count.**

If you are still in need of supplies, and supplies for school projects, don't forget to check with us first. We have poster board, paper, pencils, pens, crayons, paints and everything imaginable for any school project and at half the cost of major retail stores.

Beginning and Intermediate Knit/Crochet Class
Sat., Sept., 14, 2019
1 – 3 pm
If you want to learn to knit and/or crochet or you want to refresh or polish skills you already have, this is the class for you. If you can tie your shoes, you can learn these time-honored crafts. The class is open to anyone age 7 or older. Bring worsted weight cotton, acrylic or wool yarn, a G, H, I, or J crochet hook or a pair of size 8, 9, or 10 knitting needles (or both). These items are also available at Who Gives a Scrap.
Instructor: Norma Engelberg
Cost: $18 Please bring cash or check the day of the class to pay the teacher directly.

Day of the Dead Sugar Skull on a rock
Thurs., Sept. 19, 2019
6 – 8:30 pm
Celebrate Dia de loes Muertos by creating a mosaic Day of the Dead Sugar Skull on a rock. This class teaches you how to how to nip stain glass and to apply embellishments such as beads and ball chain. This is a 2 day class and the 2nd day is for grouting . The 2nd session is scheduled for September 26th at 6 pm. Grouting takes less than 30 minutes. No experience needed. 6 person minimum/8 maximum. Deadline to register September 16.

Cost: $43 includes all materials (feel free to bring bling if you want)

2019 Supply Swaps – Colorado Springs
Who Gives a SCRAP and PPLD partner to host the Craft Supply Swaps held at libraries throughout the Pikes Peak Region. Bring in your new, clean/gently used and unwanted craft materials and exchange them for "tickets" to "purchase/exchange" new-to-you craft supplies! (Please only bring in crafting supplies and not items that are considered trash, in bad condition or items that can be recycled.) **Tickets received at the Swaps can only be used at other swaps; they cannot be used in the shop.
We will also be offering a fun up-cycling craft, so you can take your time and check for new inventory!  No registration required. For the list of our upcoming Swaps throughout the year, check out our calendar at www.whogivesascrapcolorado.com

Fort Collins accepts donations Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 10 am - 4 pm or by appointment

Even the smallest act of reuse has impact. Our two stores have been making it happen. Here are our stats.
Total Visitors: 133,497
Total pounds diverted from landfill: 336,600.23
2019 Volunteer Hours: 13,378

Our reuse centers to date, have diverted (168.3 tons!) of clean, reusable materials from ending up in the El Paso and Larimer County landfills since collection began in July 2015.

Who Gives a SCRAP collects clean and reusable art, craft, and office supplies. Please follow these steps when making a donation.  We would appreciate that you do not leave unattended items at our front door. It's not only a violation of our lease but illegal.  **Note: Many items have creative reuse potential but it is simply a matter of space and demand whether or not we will be able to accept them and sometimes we are unable to accept some items due to legal or liability risks, safety or hazardous and universal waste concerns, recycling and disposal fees. If it looks like trash then it is trash and should be disposed of properly or by recycling it.
Holiday specific items will only be accepted 2- 3 months prior to that holiday. Thank you.
