אני לדודי ודודי לי

Dear Partners.
We hope you all had a good vacation, at Netspark we have been working and here are some of the more important things we think you should know.

Netspark's New Branding
Over the past few months, we have been working behind the scenes to improve the design and usability of our apps and websites.
We are happy to share with you that we have launched the first stage of the Netspark rebranding. Our homepage has been redesigned with our new logos and colors as well as a cleaner look with more information than in the past. In the coming weeks and months, we will be updating our apps and admin panel with our new logos, fonts, and colors.

Android Version 35.42
Version changes:
  • New plug-in to improve protection on Xiaomi devices. Relevant to Xiaomi devices with MIUI 10.3.2 or later (see separate section).
  • Dual messenger - Do not prevent dual messenger in whitelisted apps.
  • Time limit - Fixed device usage time report issue
  • Fixed texts related to the Device Owner process
  • Fixed block page - If a category was set to "Block apps"
  • New Timetable (see separate section).
iOS Version 2.48
Version changes:
  • Better support for the new app recognition feature, where Netspark recognizes apps as apps (and not only the traffic).
  • Fixed several bugs found in the previous version.
iOS - Changes in the portal
  • Added new restrictions (Block Hotspot, Bluetooth, Apple TV)
  • The protection level "Block all" has been changed to "Block Internet" (for iOS devices only).
  • New Timetable (see separate section).
iOS - Uninstall protection 1.3
Version changes:
  • Fixed the error "More than one iPhone is connected to this computer".
Windows Version 1.3.4
Version changes:
  • Identify programs/apps (.exe) - Currently, this is being used to block programs that have been flagged as dangerous by our content team. In future versions, this will enable you to control programs (example allow/block Skype)
  • New Timetable (see separate section).
  • Added a floating icon which shows that the device has active protection. Each device has the option to add the icon by checking the "Show icon on the device's home screen" in the Settings tab.
Xiaomi
As we announced in Slack, In recent months, we have been working together with Xiaomi to enable high-quality Netspark protection on Xiaomi devices.
All Xiaomi Devices with MIUI version 10.3.2 or higher, will now have an additional step in the installation process where they need to approve the use of “Enterprise Mode”.
After activating "Enterprise mode" it is no longer necessary to go through the special installation stages as in the past.
This upgrade not only eliminates the need for special installation stages but will also bring  Xiaomi devices to nearly the same level of protection that our customers enjoy on Samsung and LG devices.

To install the new protection, follow the instructions at the following link:
https://www.support-en.netsparkmobile.com/xiaomi-plugin

For new customers, follow the instructions at the following link:
https://www.support-en.netsparkmobile.com/xiaomi-new
Note!
The new development is only relevant for devices with MIUI version 10.3.2 or higher (some users with a lower MIUI version can upgrade to this MIUI version).

New Timetables system
The "Timetable" option has changed a little. The timetable now has its own rules and is no longer dependent on the custom filtering rules. Also, you can set a custom rule without compromising the filtering level. (On Android this new system will only show with Netspark version 35.42 and up).

Category Tooltips (descriptions)
We have added explanation boxes (tooltips) on each of the categories and subcategories which can be seen when hovering with the mouse over a category or subcategory name. These explanations include examples for apps and websites (where appropriate and applicable). This will surely give you all a clear and good view of what is included and how to set them best for the customers!

New category - Harmful content
We have added a new category called "Harmful content". This includes a few subcategories (including Alcohol and Tobacco).
As explained in the hovering box (tooltip), the main category (Harmful content) can contain some pretty bad stuff that will be blocked on all levels (Light, Moderate, Strict Essential). But be warned that "No Filter" means no filter for that too. So to be clear, this category should never be on"No Filter".

Torah / Religions categories - Explanation
We have explained this in the hovering boxes for the category "Torah" controls mostly Torah or Orthodox apps. Many Jewish, Torah, orthodox websites are controlled by the category "Religions" and are open in the "Strict” protection level. (Other religions and belief sites are not open in the "Strict” protection level). So, if a customer wants all Jewish Sites to be open the category religions should be put on the "Strict” protection level.

That's all for now. Wishing you all the best!
