Amadeus, DEPA and PATA unveil roadmap for future-proofing Thailand’s tourism industry

The 'Thailand Towards 2030: Future of Travel & Tourism’ report, conducted by the collaboration between Amadeus, DEPA and PATA, identifies four key priorities for Thailand in the next decade, including increasing airport capacity; improving inter-modal air-to-city links; scaling up public-private partnerships to improve the efficiency of inner-city transport networks; and reducing ‘over’ tourism – all of which depend on the adoption of smart technologies. Read more >

TAT uses online management system Local Kit to enhance community tourism

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has begun using the online tourism management system ‘Local Kit’, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of community-based tourism in Thailand. It was designed to better and more efficiently manage tourism information at the community level and be an intermediary connection between those communities and organisations.Read more >

PATA Philippines University of Baguio Student Chapter held the new eco-friendly fitness craze

PATA Baguio Student Chapter initiated an event,  titled  “Plogging:  The Champions’  Way To a Greener City” to help raise  awareness  of  and  solve  trash and litters problems, which is one of the major problems of the globe.  The event  required eighty tourism student participants to jog and stop to pick up trash on the route. Read more >
