Have you ever really thought about what it means to be faithful? Does it just simply mean being reliable? Lord willing, I am going to teach and preach on Sunday about what it means to be Faithful unto Death. Go ahead and get familiar with Reveleation 2:10.
Hopefully this word from The Word will increase, enhance and advance your faith to the overflowing, so that we will all then be more faithful.
These are exciting days in the life of our church family. Some major opportunities to trust God are right around the corner. Without faith it is impossible to please The Lord. Are you ready? Right now? If not, begin getting ready as soon as possible.
Mark your calendar and send out the invites because next week is Grandparents Day. There's more to say about that day...it's just a week and a half away.

Great Commission Update: Aug 27
One of the ways we support mission work throughout the world through our own people at His Vineyard is through our mission pledge fund. This is a fund above our tithe that is given on a volunteer basis. The plan is that you select an amount you will pledge or commit to give each week for the next year. As we give, the money is used to help finance mission trips both in the United States and to other countries. This past year, we touched several countries on several continents for the glory of God through this fund.
So that the giving will not be a huge burden on anyone, we suggest a pledge to give in a small amount each week from $20, $15, $10, $5, or $1. When a number of us give a little bit, the fund multiplies quickly.
On the Welcome Center Desk you will find a mission pledge card. On the card you can select an amount that you would like to give. You can make your contribution as a one-time gift, or you can give weekly or monthly. On Sunday, 13 October, we want to make all of our pledges at the same time during the morning service. Please ask God if this pledge might be an opportunity for you to join him in the work he is doing through his people right here at home.
I am looking forward to what God will do through us all with this fund as we go with him to the places where he is opening doors which no man can close.

Study 1 Samuel 25 to learn about Abigail. She was one of David's wives. She was a very wise and secure woman. Her name literally means fountain of joy.
Womens Ministry Upcoming Events
August: Soul Sister Reveal -Thank you so much for participating in Secret Soul Sisters! We have all felt the encouragement of the prayers that have been prayed for each other. Some have received beautiful cards, encouraging notes, small gifts and even flowers. We are asking that in August you send your Soul Sister a card or a note in the mail or hand deliver and reveal that you were her Secret Soul Sister.
September 20th: Ladies Painting Class - 6:30 pm at the church. More information will be given in the next few weeks.
