What does it feel like to have a heart and mind full of gratitude? What does it take to be mindful to just how blessed we are?
My heart and mind is full of gratitude!
What does it feel like to have a heart and mind full of gratitude? What does it take to be mindful to just how blessed we are?
My journey to this point in my life has been messy, painful, and wonderful at times. But I am so grateful for each experience that has shaped me. The biggest shapeshifters has been gratitude and mindfulness practices. Being grateful for even the littlest of things, the routine things, the normal. When I started this practice it did require that I become more aware of each present moment; more on that in the wellness tip below.
Right now, my heart and mind are so full with gratitude for all your support of OneTreeLove and dedication to connecting mind, body, and planet. I feel so alive, loved, and connected. Thank you! My world is better because of you all, your heart, and your mindfulness.
Thank you for helping to make the summer of 2019 truly heartful and mindful. I will be away soon for Tour des Trees and then back to teaching in schools this fall, so I will be offering fewer public events. But you know how to find me and your OneTreeLove connection. See you in the woods or water soon!
With love and gratitude,
Lisa Meranti OneTreeLove Founder

Wellness Tip
Mindfulness...having the mind be fully attentive to the present. The word on the streets and countless studies is that mindfulness is great for our wellbeing. But what can help you put it into practice? The practice of mindfulness doesn't have to be still on a meditation cushion (although, I do love my sitting meditations tree-mendously). It can be while driving, cooking, biking, walking, swimming, listening to sounds of nature or music, on your yoga mat, and so much more.
Mindful movement or meditation in motion lights up my soul and lightens my body and mind, especially through activities that require my full concentration like SUP yoga. Bringing my asana yoga practice to the board, I become finely aware of how my body moves and flows (or resists) on the water. It also puts me in full attention to what nature is doing- the wind, waves, and water. It puts me in the present.
What does it for you? Does it involve movement or stillness? Seek out more time for that and experience the wellness benefits of a present mind.
