The South Kansas City Alliance is hosting a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, for persons interested in working on constructing the new KCI Airport single terminal and associated parking structures to discuss any needs they have for workforce training, transportation and child care.

The meeting will be in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr., and will include light refreshments.  It will be conducted by Amazing Traditions on behalf of the team assembled by Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate to construct the terminal project.

Edgemoor has committed to provide Terminal Workforce Enhancement Programs including workforce training, free and subsidized transportation to and from the KCI job site and access to licensed child care with extended hours to remove barriers that might prevent area residents from working on the multiyear project.

Companies and organizations that can provide any of these services also are invited to attend.

This meeting is one of 12 being conducted throughout the metropolitan area to seek public input on exactly what services are needed by persons who would like to work on the huge KCI project and the level of demand for such services.

For more information, persons may contact kerri@amazingtraditions.com.
