Double Your Impact on the Scientific Endeavor
Our Matching Gift Challenge Ends August 31
We need your help to continue pushing back against attacks on science. Until August 31, a group of our supporters is matching all donations, dollar for dollar, and we need to raise just $1,000 more to unlock $50,000 in matching funds. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.

Because of you, we’re able to provide free legal support to climate scientists like Maria Caffrey. We recently helped her file scientific integrity and whistleblower complaints against the Trump administration. Unfortunately, cases like Maria’s are increasingly common: Our Silencing Science Tracker now has 115 entries filed under government censorship.

Lauren Kurtz, our director, spoke with InsideClimate News about the string of federal climate scientists who say they’ve been silenced, sidelined, or demoted. “Prohibiting people from speaking out about climate change, pressuring people not to study climate change, or terminating programs on climate—it's been a very holistic approach to silencing science," she said.

We’ll be at #GSA2019! If you’re attending the Geological Society of America Annual Meeting and would like to improve your science communication skills, join us for two events on Tuesday, September 24.
