Your membership supports Buffalo Bayou Partnership's mission to revitalize and maintain the 10-mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Drive to the Port of Houston Turning Basin. 

BBP activates the waterway through pedestrian, boating and biking amenities; volunteer activitiespermanent and temporary art installations; and wide-ranging tours and programs that engage tens of thousands of visitors each year.

Members-only Volunteer Day at Buffalo Bayou Park

Members of The Currents are getting together for a morning of giving back to Buffalo Bayou Park to keep it looking bayou-tiful! Details on how to sign up will be sent when you renew your membership.

Tour of Glenwood Cemetery: Buffalo Bayou's Neighbor

Saturday, October 19
Glenwood Cemetery, established in 1871 just north of Buffalo Bayou Park, is perhaps one of the most well-known and most historic cemeteries in Houston. Led by a docent from Preservation Houston, members will learn about Houston's most significant early citizens including those that played an integral part in developing the area along Buffalo Bayou. This is a members-only event.

Cost: $5 for members of The Currents (usually $15)

Holiday Happy Hour at Decatur Bar

Don't miss our annual Holiday Happy Hour with the Houston Arboretum's YP group, Evergreen, taking place at Decatur Bar and Pop-up Factory right by Buffalo Bayou Park!

#RunBuffaloBayou Running Group

Join us every Thursday evening at 7pm for the #RunBuffaloBayou running group led by members (and marathoners) Saurabh Chaugule and Monica Esqueda! 

Take in the beauty of Houston’s award-winning green space while you learn helpful running tips from experts and meet other Buffalo Bayou runners. Meet at The Water Works (105 Sabine Street).
