New look for St Mark’s College

Hughes recently completed a brand refresh for St Mark’s College, a North Adelaide residential college for university students.

The new look was developed to capture the progressive nature of the College, while paying homage to its history. A refocus on the primary colours, particularly the ‘light blue’ and dynamic, brighter images helped to convey this visually. Following development of a new style for brand communications, Hughes then applied this through the design of a new website, prospectus document and other key marketing collateral.

The brand refresh also included producing new content including a series of new videos, copy and photography to represent the diversity of the College community and the core aspects of life at St Mark’s.

Record numbers show support for Hutt St Centre

On August 9, the Hughes PR team joined a record number of South Australians to participate in Hutt St Centre’s 11th annual Walk a Mile in My Boots event.

The event encourages South Australians to show their support for people experiencing homelessness by walking one mile to understand what it’s like to wake up on a cold winter’s morning and walk in search for something to eat, a hot cup of tea or coffee and a friendly face.

Despite the cold weather, more than 5000 people made the one mile (1.6km) trek from Victoria Park to the South Parklands – raising awareness and funds for Hutt St Centre.

The biggest event as part of National Homelessness Week, Walk a Mile In My Boots raised more than $280,000 which will enable the Centre to continue to provide food, housing assistance, education and social services to people experiencing homelessness.
