Hello!

So I’m back from a short break. Holidays are really hard work though. Hopefully it creates some good memories for my kids though that will offset some of the definite bad ones I am sure to also create. That’s how parenting works right? A constantly running balance sheet of great memories vs. potentially traumatic ones?

I did get to snorkel the great barrier reef though which was worth it. The kids got to watch from the sidelines, which surely will wipe out any guaranteed future episode of me being very late for picking them up from somewhere.

Travel is wild though. I really don’t think we were ever meant to fly in the air or sail on the ocean. It’s just not natural. While swimming in the reef, I came across the most insane fish I had ever seen - it was around the size and thickness of an 11” MacBook Air and just fully, balls-out raver fluorescent green and pink. It was so wild and beautiful. I swam behind it for a few meters and then it just shat all over me. Literally just let out a torrent of brownish liquid that quickly got absorbed into the water but was still kind of unsettling and yeah, maybe the sky and water is just not where we’re supposed to be.

Anyway - I’m back, and getting popped on over solid ground. Metaphorically of course. It’s not that bad really, but yeah. Work is hard, right?

In other news, did you know Jacky Winter has hosted the Melbourne Chapter of Creative Mornings for the last 86 months? Crazytown. For fellow locals, we’ve got a great event coming up this Friday at the new Commons Space in the QV building in the Melbourne CBD. Still some registrations open here.

Okay, my space if filled and my job is done. Take a deep dive yourself down below to check out what our own colourful fishes have been up too.
