💚 How Sweet It Is

And now we’ve got more scoop — not only is Sweetgreen locked in on a Cherry Creek location, but they’ve also honed in on property in LoDo and Boulder. 🌱 Cauli-Powered By Plants
Cauliflower pizza has officially gone mainstream. From frozen varieties in grocery stores to local shops experimenting with the crust, there are plenty of ways to give it a taste. And here’s one more — the CAULIPOWER Food Truck is making a stop in Denver! They’ll be at A Taste of Colorado this weekend serving up slices of their veggie-heavy pie. And if you like the ’za, keep an eye out for their new baked cauliflower chicken tenders. Yes, seriously. What a time to be alive, right?

🍹 Sober-Curious Sips
The sober-curious trend has hit Denver, and as the people of the Mile High realize that booze-free benefits extend beyond health, bars and restaurants are starting to respond. Lots of local spots are introducing “zero-proof” cocktails (because the term mocktail is so annoying), and the city’s first “dry bar” is in the works. Nonprofit Bar Zero will serve up seasonal small plates and tasty booze-free sips in a community-driven space. Open to all, Bar Zero will also offer support and job training to those in recovery. Want a sneak peek? Head to their first event on September 11 — a mix-off competition with food, music, and fundraising.

🍋 When Life Gives You Lemons
It’s not always easy to expect the unexpected. Did you expect to be skiing on the Fourth of July? Probably not. And chances are you weren't planning on hearing that dreaded pop in your knee during that 5k. Luckily, local health care provider Kaiser Permanente takes guessing out of the game with one easy-to-use package, so you can get quality health care when and where you want it, regardless of what life throws your way.

West Side Brewery Bike Loop
West Denver breweries love bikes almost as much as beer, so six of them head out together on the last Saturday of each month through the summer to enjoy a little of both. The fun rides meet at a different brewery each month (August is at Oasis) and make stops along the way for a short pour at each brewery. The ride takes about 3.5 hours and ends with a free beer if you complete the entire loop!

🍽 In Other News
Edgewater Gets a Food Hall
We know what you’re thinking — Denver needs another food hall. Well, we’ve got good news. Edgewater Public Market, the newest collective space to hit the Mile High, is eyeing a fall opening. The 50,000-square-foot space will span from 20th to 22nd avenues off Depew St. and house a long lineup of food and drink options. Already confirmed stalls are Monna Pizza, Barbed Wire Reef, Carnivore Tacos, and Arepas House. Food trucks Moontime Crepes, Vegan Van, Happy Cones, Slideshow Sliders, Mac Shack, Gyro King, and Lucky Bird will also post up alongside a rooftop bar, a coffee shop by Amethyst, and a new brewery, Barquentine Brewing Co.
Movie Night at Coors Field
Skip the theater and make it a movie night under the stars at Coors Field. You can watch the Rockies take on the Pirates, then hang out for a showing of The Sandlot to keep the summer baseball vibes alive. You’ll even score a Rockies blanket for when the fall air starts to creep in after the sun ducks behind the mountains.
