Watch out for her latest architectural painting featuring The Dome.

For the past seven years Michela Griffith has been making images of her local river, working and reworking the same small section of the River Dove in the Peak District National Park.

Her images celebrate the ephemeral beauty of water and the patterns of light that play on its surface: water has become her canvas and in turn the river has transformed her photographic practice.  She has recently updated her website and you’ll find a selection of new work and writing, including A Memory of Water which gives an insight into her current practice.

Sue Nichol will again be part of the Staithes Festival of Art and Heritage which will take place over the weekend of 7 and 8 September 2019 in some 85 temporary galleries in cottages, houses and public spaces throughout the village.
