Dear team members and prayer supporters,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our great God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is faithful in his care for us as we continually strive to make his name known in Indian Country.
In our Spring 2019 newsletter, we broke the news that we are now partnering with Third Millennium Ministries and that we are in the planning stages of a discipleship center for Native Christians to discover the God who is and their place in his kingdom (More on that below).
No Better Ending
Before we talk about the future, let's review the fast summer since graduation day at the Mokahum Ministry Center. Immediately after graduation, we got right to work for prepare a short-term mission team from one of our faithful supporting churches, New Hope Presbyterian in Eustis, FL. Besides having a blast, we actually got some work done on the MMC campus, preparing the summer garden, and chipping large piles of limbs and branches from downed trees from a major storm two years ago. The chips went into the garden, which will employ the Back to Eden gardening method. We got it done! More than that, the team was able to meet a few students at Mokahum -- new friendships were forged that week. Mark Little Elk gave of himself to help the team learn Native beading. The Lord knew what he was doing when he sent New Hope. We couldn't imagine a better way to conclude our term at Mokahum.
New Beginnings
By mid-June, we were back in Florida. Our oldest son, Uriah, remained in Bemidji, MN to continue his studies at Bemidji State University. We are very proud of him. Upon returning home, we anxiously awaited the arrival of our earthly belongings, hoping the moving truck would arrive before our trip to Dallas, TX for our denomination's General Assembly. To read the GA Special Edition newsletter, you can access it as a post on LennoxLetters.com.
We were able to meet some new friends. In particular, as it relates to our field, we were glad to meet Joshua Tsavatewa (Hopi). Joshua was just recently ordained by the PCA to serve at a church plant on the Yakama Reservation in Washington. Please pray for the Lord to sustain and increase his efforts there.
Please pray with us that our discussions with people, new relationships, and the distribution of our newsletter will be used by the Lord to expand our reach and effect in Native America. We took a little license to advertise our newsletter on the GA App in the hotel. See sidebars for details...
Theological Education Moving Forward
We are still in the strategic phase of our efforts to bring theological education to those in Native America who need it. As much as we prefer the front-line, face-to-face part of ministry, the behind the scenes planning and communicating is important (just like writing newsletters to our partners). Be assured, things are moving forward.
Please take five minutes to watch a short video about the mission of Third Millennium Ministries here.
Dreaming (and Planning) Out Loud
As mentioned in our last newsletter, we would love to establish an annual Native pastor's conference. We want to provide a few days for pastors to gather with other pastors (and their wives) for a time of refreshing, encouraging, and equipping. After three days, they would return home with an arm full resources and a renewed sense of worth and mission. Of course we will provide a thorough orientation and tutorial of Third Mill materials.
Update: The planning of the conference is in motion. We already have a keynote speaker. It looks like it'll happen in October 2020. Stay tuned.
Discipleship Center
We have been in some very encouraging discussions with churches, supporters, and Native friends and leaders concerning a future discipleship center. We really believe that it would address a real and prevalent need in Native America. There are many things to talk about and consider as we move forward. Please continue to be in prayer about that.
Important:
Nothing changes regarding our MTW status. We are still MTW missionaries. All of our support will continue to go to MTW. We are simply partnering with Third Mill, which will enable both ministries to better fulfill their ministry objectives.
On the Road Again
In addition to the ministry opportunities before us, we still need to raise our support this year. Our ministry demands have changed, i.e., increased. Basically this year is serving like a hybrid HMA year to build our support team and build a new ministry from the ground up.
Therefore, we are currently available to travel and participate in mission conferences. Please give us a call and share this newsletter with anyone you may think would be interested in our work. There is much to do. Let's partner together and see what the Lord does with our efforts.

Pray for us
1. Giving is down -- Yes, it is still down, but we can praise the Lord that has increased since our last report. But with this new endeavor, we will need to increase our budget. Please pray as we seek the Lord on what steps to take to increase our pledged support.
2. Pray for wisdom, patience, courage, and perseverance. There always seems there is too much to do, but the Lord loves to show his power in our weakness. There is much to do. We need wisdom to prioritize and keep a good calendar.
3. Pray for our family. We are undergoing yet another big change in life. Although our two youngest children are moving back to Florida with us (and are quite excited), our oldest will remain in Bemidji to continue college.
How can we pray for you?
We would be honored to pray for you. Please let us know how we can pray.
All for the Kingdom!
