Ambassador Orientation

In the coming weeks, parishes will host an Ambassador Orientation. This special meeting will introduce even more people to the Called to Renew Campaign. Pastors will discuss the case for support at the Archdiocese, as well as the unique projects at your local parish. Your Parish Campaign Director will explain the roles and responsibilities of a Campaign volunteer and the five principles of a successful fundraising effort. A Campaign Executive Committee member will also be asked to give a testimony for why they chose to participate in Called to Renew

It is critical to drive attendance to the Ambassador Orientation so parishioners can learn more about the Campaign and have the opportunity to get involved. Having accurate information about Called to Renew and a positive attitude towards the Campaign is the best way to invite the participation of your fellow parishioners. Through the Ambassador Orientation, we seek to expand our Campaign team in order to better serve our communities when Called to Renew is announced to the entire parish.

Many hands make light work.

The community at St. Martha in Valinda welcomes their new pastor!
Congratulations to Fr. Thomas Asia, who raised $82,500 from seven gifts within the last week. Fr. The parish community has responded generously to  Campaign invitations and is excited to construct a vestibule for the church, renovate the pews and kneelers, paint the exterior of the church, and seed funding for a new parish hall and offices through this effort. Welcome Fr. Thomas, and congratulations on the early success!

We are grateful for Fr. Raymond’s enthusiasm and dedication to the plan. Keep up the great work!

Ambassador Recruitment Tips

This week, your Parish Campaign Director met with the Campaign Executive Committee to begin inviting fellow parishioners to the Ambassador Orientation.  When making calls, be sure to have your invite script at hand and the name of the person you are calling. It helps to develop a positive attitude before dialing - people can hear a smile through the phone. In your first moments on the phone, identify yourself in relation to the parish. People will feel more comfortable speaking to someone they see at Mass. Also remember that these people received a letter saying they would be contacted with further information about the Ambassador Orientation, so they are awaiting your call. Good luck!
