I've flown internationally at least several dozen times. I thought I knew it all; however, I learned something new on this trip. After the airline cancelled my outbound flight due to weather-related issues, I got another flight, but the Paris connecting flight in Dallas seemed a bit too tight.
In an effort to make sure I had enough time to make the connection, I asked the booking agent if there were any other options with more of a time cushion. The agent looked at me with a stone-faced expression and said, "You have ten minuets more than the legal time." "Huh? Uh what is legal time?" Half-mast-eyed Stony replied, "The amount of time it takes a normal person to make the connection." I barely made the connection but then I've never been accused of being normal.

When I got to Paris, I hit the ground walking and making pictures. Didn't stop for twelve days. I took a digital black-and-white camera and a digital color camera. My idea was to carry both and use the one that seemed most appropriate for the picture I was interested in making. Sometimes I didn't carry both and of course I regretted it.
