SVP Portland is seeking a contractor to fill the role of Encore Fellows Program Coordinator (EFPC). The EFPC fundamentally manages relationships and stewards Fellows. This involves interviewing, matching, and coaching a) individuals retiring from corporate careers who are ready to serve in the social sector with b) nonprofit organizations who wish to host them to complete capacity-building projects. It also involves identifying and counseling potential work hosts as they define their projects. The goal of the EFPC is to ensure a positive, fulfilling engagement experience for Encore Fellows and their nonprofit hosts. By nature, the program has a somewhat unpredictable time commitment due to the volatility of incoming sponsored fellowships. We estimate that an average week’s time commitment is approximately 16 hours, but it could be as little as eight or up to and exceeding 32 hours during a “surge” of retirees sponsored by their previous employer.
