YES Prep presents Third Annual Leading Houston Forward Luncheon on October 16

Chaired by Emily and Jordan Marye, YES Prep will commemorate accomplishments and look to its future at the Third Annual Leading Houston Forward Luncheon on Wednesday, October 16 at the Wortham Theater Center.

This year, we will honor our longtime corporate supporter, Vitol, with the Chris Barbic Legacy Award for their tireless commitment to our mission and vision. The event's keynote speaker, John B. King Jr., the 10th U.S. Education Secretary under President Barack Obama and the current president and CEO of The Education Trust, will certainly be a highlight of the event.

Class of 2019 Visit their YES Prep Campus Before Heading Off to College

Graduates from the Class of 2019 gathered one last time at their respective campus for YES Prep's annual Alumni Sendoffs. Alumni had the opportunity to meet with teachers, college counselors, and fellow alumni before embarking on the next step of their academic journey. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities like games, food, plus had the opportunity to chat with YES Prep alumni who offered words of advice.

PATHWAYS TO OPPORTUNITY

13th Annual YES Prep College Fair taking place October 4 at Stafford Centre

With college graduation as the ultimate goal, YES Prep will host its 13th Annual YES Prep College Fair on Friday, October 4 at Stafford Centre. Participating students will gain exposure to colleges and universities that they have not yet considered and deepen their knowledge about a particular institution.

YES Prep is excited to announce it is launching its new and improved website the first week of September 2019. With a fresh design and new experience that’s seamless across mobile and desktop, the new website will allow families, staff, and the community to quickly browse and find resources and stay updated on information they need throughout the school year.

Over 3,000 junior and senior high school students from 13 campuses will have the opportunity to visit with over 90 colleges and universities at the Stafford Centre, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
