SERVICE ADVISORY REMINDER: EXTERIOR & INTERIOR WINDOW CLEANING


On Saturday, September 7 the exterior and interior windows will be cleaned at the Winton building. Please remove any items near the windows inside and outside to avoid any possible damages by Friday.

M&O staff will check areas near the windows on Thursday and Friday. If you need assistance moving large items, please submit a work order at https://footprints.acoe.org.

2019-20 IS IN SESSION - TIME TO SHARE YOUR PHOTOS!


We're getting another ACOE Family Album together: BACK TO SCHOOL PHOTOS!

If you or someone you love is heading back to school this year, please send a photo of the student with their name, grade and school to lforrest@acoe.org by Friday, September 6.

Any photos you send will only be shared with ACOE staff, in the Digest and on the password-protected MyACOE. They will not appear on any public sites. 

The photo at left is my (Laura Forrest's) daughter on her first day of preschool three years ago.

Time to order your ACOE-branded shirts, jackets, hoodies, vests and baseball caps. Probably not necessary to wear them all at the same time, but we support whatever decision you make. 

The ACOE store is open now through Monday, September 16. Orders will be delivered in early October.

Camp Sweeney held its Open House Carnival on August 30. The event featured student-created games and a variety of resource tables. SPaS hosted a table with information on student programs and services, shown above with Dr. Sean Moffatt, principal of Camp Sweeney.

The Student Services Council convened its first meeting of 2019-2020 on August 30, with representation from 14 school districts, one ROP, and one charter school. The meeting focused on special education discipline and equity.

Valerie Hill is joining ACOE as a guest Receptionist. She will be at the front desk as needed, helping field questions and direct guests. Welcome, Valerie!
Michael Lin is joining ACOE as a Database Administrator. Welcome, Michael!
Ruth Jones joins ACOE this week as a Public Policy Fellow. She spent the last eight years teaching at Edna Brewer Middle School in Oakland, and just graduated with her Master's in International and Multicultural Education from University of San Francisco. Welcome, Ruth!
Dr. Rachelle Rogers-Ard joins ACOE this week as Director of Leadership Development. She was most recently the Executive Director of Organizational Effectiveness & Culture for Oakland USD. Welcome, Rachelle!
