The Saratoga County Chamber Of Commerce, the Saratoga Spa State Park, and the Spa City Farmers Market is proud to host our 4th Annual Saratoga Giant PumpkinFest Weigh-Off this September 29th!
Giant pumpkin growers from the Northeast will again compete at this Festival to find the biggest pumpkin of the year. Last season, we had 40+ giant pumpkins and a crowd of 10,000 people in attendance. This year prizes will total $8,500.
Mark your calendar now for Sunday, September 29th, and plan to bring the family to the
Saratoga Spa State Park. **The farmers' market with the pumpkinfest will be moved to the Great Lawn next to the Auto Museum inside the park **
The Saratoga Giant PumpkinFest is a FREE family friendly event. These giant pumpkins begin arriving at 8 a.m. with the weigh off starting at 10 a.m. There is a Farmer's Market, food vendors, games and hayrides. Best of all, you can take photos and selfies with these giant pumpkins to share with friends and family!
Farm Fresh!
Sunday, we will have more fresh summer veggies and berries pouring in from our farms. We wait all year for the summer bounty to arrive, come and indulge!
As always, we have farm fresh meats, eggs, and artisan cheeses. Also, many our vendors have many new and exciting products you'll want to check out!

Shopping at the Spa City Farmers Market is a wholly unique experience where farmers, small businesses, and shoppers get to know each other, do business, and help each other. Meeting friends and neighbors at the farmers market while shopping and supporting local businesses is just plain fun. When was the last time you told your friends to meet you in grocery Isle! Plant a Medicinal Garden
Moon Garden & Haven Hill Farm
Master Gardener Judy Leon and Herbalist Colleen Zorbas will show you how and why to grow a medicinal garden with four seasonal workshops. The workshops will be located at Judy’s beautiful, Haven Hill Farm in Washington County. Each class will run approximately three hours.
A medicinal herb garden is defined as a garden planted with the goal of serving the needs of your general health and well-being.
You can grow wellness in whatever space you have! Herbs are beautiful and very useful in your landscape. Most herbs are not difficult to grow, and many produce lovely flowers and/or interesting foliage. Many herbs are also pest resistant and are fantastic companion plants to your vegetables.
In these series of workshops we will be going over the type of herbs to grow, and the medicinal properties of these herbs. We will be identifying the different stages of growth and how to recognize the plants. Each workshop will feature a farm and plant walk, and a preparation of an Earth medicinal.
