Ashley Weese began her journey with The Ward Group as an intern during her final semester at the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green Eagles!). Having graduated, she now operates full-time in her role as media coordinator. Ashley’s passions, however, remain traveling the world with friends and all things Taylor Swift. We sat down with her to discuss her new role:
What does your role as Media Coordinator at The Ward Group include?
As Media Coordinator, I have been given the opportunity to work in all forms of media. There are days I spend working on makegoods, traffic instructions, and auditing invoices, and other days spent helping with digital reporting or assisting with Google Ads. I could not be more thrilled to start my career in advertising with The Ward Group!
What excites you most about the evolving media-buying landscape?
I have heard a lot of talk about how this is one of the most difficult times to be in the advertising industry, and I can’t help but disagree. This is the best and most innovative time for advertisers and viewers alike because we have the ability to properly maintain relevancy of ads throughout various target markets.
What do you think of Taylor Swift’s new album Lover? Terrible, or an all-time high?
This album is absolutely beyond an all-time high!! Even with record-breaking music aside, I adore her as a person, and I couldn’t ask for a better role model to look up to. Taylor Swift is elegant, classy and charitable. Anyway, I can’t wait to bankrupt myself on her shows again this time around. Living. Breathing. LEGEND. Go stream Lover and thank me later!
Welcome, Ashley! We appreciate the dedication to quality you bring to the office every day, along with your bright enthusiasm and colorful personality.
