Greetings Spinners,

Before there is a Re-Cap of last Tuesday's ride, here is the plan for our ride on Tues Aug 27th.

Several Spinners have expressed interest in visiting the new G 5 Brewery on Gateway Blvd after one of our rides so that will happen (weather permitting that we can ride) on Tues Aug 27th. We will NOT start there but will END there...however, if you want to park your car in the G 5 parking lot (please circle the roundabout and park) and then bike to our regular starting spot behind the Beloit Bicycle Company that is an option.
 

The ride last Tuesday was on another very good summer evening where 30 Spinners headed southeast into the Sugar River Forest Preserve and many of us returned on Pomeroy which is one our favorite downhill routes. There were a couple new riders so hopefully they enjoyed themselves.
 

In last week's epistle there was no acknowledgment that several Spinners completed their 1st 100 mile trip...they were Kurt, Kristy & Tom--congrats to all of you on joining the 100 mile club.

Holding the ice cream cone is Lon Haldeman who helped map out the ride. For those of you that don't know who Lon is, he has the record for the Race Across the U.S. on a tandem in 7 days! Wow...that is special.
