Meet 10-year-old Zara Khanna, founder of Octa, at PDMF 2019
With the belief that the world is a happier and more fun place when kids travel and learn about each other, 10-year-old Zara Khanna, one of the speakers at the upcoming PATA Destination Marketing Forum in Pattaya, Thailand, founded Octa, the only travel chatbot that helps kids and parents find cool things to do and epic places to visit when traveling. Zara is coding Octa in Python and is now working on putting it on Facebook and translating it into Mandarin.  View all speakers >

PATA Canada Vancouver Capilano University Student Chapter celebrates a successful 2nd year!

In 2018, The Student Chapter contributed to World Tourism Day 2018 by hosting a panel of tourism professionals on campus. Two of the members took part in Community-Based Tourism trip to Sa Pa, Vietnam. And in the second year since establishment, the Chapter continued to publish its monthly podcast series, What in the World in Travel.

Thailand Tourism Confidence Index holding steady in 2019


The survey conducted by the collaboration between the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tourism Council of Thailand, and Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Economics indicates that 600 tourism operators was steady at 100 in the second quarter of 2019 and stood at 100 as predicted in the previous quarter. Read more >
