The tickets and program for this years’s edition of Nordisk Panorama film festival will be released tomorrow.  The festival's 30th anniversary will be celebrated with a fully packed festival program in Malmö, Sweden on September 19–24.

The festival starts on Thursday, September 19 with a grand opening party and the screening of Danish documentary Q's Barbershop, directed by Emil Langballe. Then six days will follow where you can experience the best Nordic short and documentary films. The festival concludes with an award gala at Malmö’s Old City Hall where the winners of the five competition categories will be announced: Best Nordic Documentary, Best Nordic Short, Best New Nordic Voice, Young Nordic and the City of Malmö's Audience Award.

This year the festival will have its festival centre at Cinema Panora, where visitors can experience movie gems from the Nordic Panorama 30-year film archive, enjoy food at JARS – popup eatery & bar, and mingle with filmmakers from all over the Nordic region. During the six days of the festival, there are also some great opportunities to attend seminars, master classes, and experience new VR projects.

“We are proud to invite the visitors to our festival, which presents the very best of Nordic documentaries and short films and offers many free events and special screenings at venues such as the municipal park, the local libraries, and contemporary art spaces. We want everyone to feel welcome at the festival,” says Viktor Jepson, festival producer at Nordisk Panorama.

With over 900+ accredited guests from the Nordic and international film industry, there will be plenty of opportunities to network and party with filmmakers and producers at the festival's popular happy hours and other social events. The collaboration with the rough-cut training program dok.incubator will offer previews of forthcoming documentaries slated for international theatrical release.

GENERAL INFO / SHORT FACTS

Festival tickets are released on Tuesday, 27 August. The Nordisk Panorama festival has a unique focus on Nordic documentaries and short films produced in the Nordic countries or made by Nordic filmmakers. The festival also invites an Industry Delegation from a non-Nordic country. This year we welcome a team of film professionals from the USA to join our industry events.

The festival provides a unique opportunity to benchmark the Nordic short and documentary film scene, to network with the Nordic film industry, to watch films made by the most recognized Nordic film producers, and to discover new promising and aspiring Nordic talents.

For our accredited guests we will beside the industry events have daily happy hours to promote the relations between the industry members in a casual setting.
