Carrie Tree
Friday 30th August
at 7.30pm

Brighton-based singer-songwriter Carrie Tree has spent her entire adult life traveling the world with her music, stirring and softening hearts along the way.

With an uncanny ability to reach into the traditions of the lands she visits, she touches a place deep inside the hearts of her listeners wherever she performs.

Carrie has been a feature of the UK’s grassroots scene for over a decade and has toured across Europe. She has collaborated live and in the studio with the likes of Carly Simon, Albert Mazibuko (Ladysmith Black Mambazo), Rumer, Martha Tilston, Damien Rice, and Andy Barlow of Lamb. Carrie featured as the main vocalist on Andy Barlow’s album 'Leap and the Net will Appear', and performed with him live on Dermot O'Leary's BBC2 show to 1.6 million listeners.

Carrie's third album The Canoe, released this Spring, has been described as “a remarkable album.…quality writing. Recommended “ by folking.com. Carrie’s live shows bring the songs to life with a relaxed and honest intimacy.

“A vulnerable voice yet it’s able to carry a strong message... An early Marianne Faithfull” – Frank Hennessy, BBC Wales

We are delighted to welcome back town hall favourites Sarah Collins and Keep the Faith for a long overdue return. Sarah's concerts are always high-energy, with classic tunes brilliantly performed.
With a group of highly experienced musicians, Sarah recreates the live sound and feel of the songs which originated on an underground scene during the mid-60s and have swept the dancefloors ever since. Keep the Faith play authentic arrangements of the original songs, providing a live Motown and Northern Soul experience that is second to none.

Doors 7.00pm, on stage 8.00pm. Seating and dancefloor available, arrive early to be guaranteed a seat.

Tickets £12, available from Masham Community Office on 01765-680200 or online here.
