I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and catching some rays of sunshine and Vitamin D!

I have been quite busy this summer with our new puppy Charlie, an AussieDoodle. We forgot how time-consuming a puppy can be but we know it will be worthwhile to have a well-trained dog and family member.

In the nutrition world lately, there has been a lot of buzz regarding plant-based meat alternatives and burgers.

I believe it is important to understand what that term really means and as with everything new, there is a need to understand it’s benefits and limitations.

Plant-based whole foods contain excellent sources of vitamins, minerals, omega 3 and proteins that are vital for brain health and can fuel our bodies.
