LWVHC UPDATES
September 8, 2019

“Being adequately informed is a democratic duty, just as the vote is a democratic right. A misinformed electorate, voting without knowledge, is not a true democracy.” - Jay Griffiths

Jay Griffiths is a British writer and author of Wild: An Elemental Journey, Pip Pip: A Sideways Look at Time, Anarchipelago, A Love Letter from a Stray Moon, Kith: The Riddle of the Childscape and Tristimania: A Diary of Manic Depression. Wikipedia

VOTER REGISTRATION TRAINING

 Wednesday,  September 18,  at 5:15
Hendersonville Community Co-op community room.
Training will last a little over an hour.

OBSERVER TEAM

The Observer Team is looking for help from members who attend public meetings.  Our core team of observers who attend public meetings is very small, so we would like to appeal to our members who attend public meetings as part of their committee work or just as interested citizens.  You do not have to be a regular observer to report back to your local League on what is happening in our community.  There is a quick report form you can fill out online after attending a meeting that will help keep tabs on government entities around town.
