Weekly Updates for Aug. 25
1. THE TOP
Welcome (back), Boston College!
Campus Ministry is happy to welcome you to campus! Learn more about our work at bc.edu/ministry and visit us at Friday's Student Involvement Fair to hear about ways to get involved this year. Many of our programs – including retreats, 4Boston, Appa, Arrupe, LAG, CLC, multi-faith groups, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ignatian Society, to name a few – will be there.
2. YOU SHOULD KNOW

The Mass of the Holy Spirit – a Jesuit tradition marking the start of the school year – is Thursday, Sept. 5 at 12 p.m. in the Plaza Outside O'Neill Library (rain location – Conte Forum). Come together as we ask for God's blessings on the new year. Classes are cancelled from 12 - 1:15 p.m. to facilitate attendance at the liturgy. All are welcome! See the Sights and Sounds from last year's Mass of the Holy Spirit, with homilist Rev. Jack Butler, S.J., in this 60 second clip.  (Video produced by Campus Ministry's student Marketing Engagement Team.)

5. WEEKLY COLLECTION
This week's collection will support St. Francis House in Boston that serves more than 500 poor and homeless men and women every day. Your generosity will quickly morph into a hot meal, a fresh change of clothes, or a more complex blessing like mental health counseling or job training. Whatever you donate will give hope to some of Boston's most vulnerable citizens. Please be generous.
