Our friends at the Bush Camp Company have very generously donated a 7 night safari for 2 people in the South Luangwa National Park to us here at Chipembele as a much needed fundraiser for our Children in Nature* programme. The safari is valued at USD 11,000 (£9,000) but will be offered to the highest bidder over USD 5,500 (£4500).

100% of the proceeds will come direct to Chipembele.

OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES

WHAT DOES THE CHILDREN IN NATURE PROGRAMME DELIVER?  

Our Children in Nature programme involves 930 Conservation Club students in 18 schools and delivers:
  • Educational field trips into South Luangwa National Park 
  •  Zambian Carnivore Programme partnership - teaching students field ecology by conducting an extensive wildlife research project each year
  • Outdoor activities during our 20 Conservation Club sessions in schools each week 
  •  ‘Nature Nights’ excursions where students camp in the bush for 3 days to learn more about nature close-up and develop life and leadership skills 
  • All-day visits (2 per week) to the Chipembele Conservation Centre adjacent to the Luangwa River for groups of 20 students
  • An extensive student-driven annual environmental campaign in the local community 
  • Outdoor learning in the Chipembele - Community Nature Conservancy
  • Experiential learning in the Chipembele Botanic Garden
  • Tree planting and litter picking so children learn to care for their environment.

Auction Terms and Conditions


Auction reserve is USD5500 (GBP4500).
Auction Ends 30 September 2019

The safari dates are subject to availability. This auction prize is non-transferable. Restrictions apply at Bushcamps for children under 12 years of age. Valid until 30th September 2020. Additional nights will be charged at a standard rate. Includes all meals, accommodation, game drives, local airport transfers, laundry, service charge and government tax.  Excludes all flights, bar, park entry fees, Luangwa Community and Conservation Fund levies, visa fees and items of a personal nature.
