"Spot-on": a look at young lighting designers and their successes

Creative lighting concepts, visionary approaches to lighting design and a great passion for good light: as part of the ERCO "Spot-on" format we called on young lighting designers to send us their success stories. We received a host of exciting concepts and insights into highly individual philosophies of light. We were particularly impressed by these two:

Light and love for high fashion sneakers

The two Zurich architects Filippo Santoni and Serena Santini created a new home for high fashion streetwear in the alleys of Milan's Brera district, the pulsating heart of Italy's design scene. In the elegant flagship store for the Italian sneaker label D.A.T.E. they set striking accents and visualise an intelligent layout of the space with light.

An artist of light

As a native Swede who grew up with the light of the northern hemisphere, Joaquim de Abreu has an inherently special relationship with light. With an artistic spirit and inspired by the world of theatre, the lighting designer creates realms of light that stimulate, create atmosphere and embody a new luminous aesthetic.
