Are you interested in solving exciting challenges with open data and win prizes?
At Inspire Helsinki 2019 event, four data challenges will be hosted for teams to compete in and to present their work. If you don’t have a team of your own the event organisers will help you to find one.
Teams may produce applications, proofs of concepts, visualisations, presentations and demos over September and will present the results in October in Helsinki or remotely. During the challenge month, the event organisers and challenge partners will support the teams, help provide data, tools and services to ensure successful results.
The first ten teams to sign up are eligible for one (1) 100 % discount code per team for the event (save up to 350 €). Event has an early bird price until 31 July. You can also participate in the challenges without participating in the event.
The best submissions will have a chance to present their results during the event and the best submission of each category will be awarded. Up to 10 teams can receive reimbursements for travel and accommodation to Helsinki (one person per team). Join the data challenges by signing up your team. The Inspire Helsinki 2019 event takes place in Helsinki on 22-24 October 2019. The event strives to look at how latest technologies and spatial data can improve both decision making and the daily life of everyone. The goal is to bring 150 developers, project managers, technical people and influencers of the European spatial data infrastructure to Helsinki to demonstrate the capacity of latest technologies and to see what can be achieved with European spatial data now and in the future. The event hosts data challenges, technical workshops and keynotes. The event is organized by the National Land Survey of Finland, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and supported by the Joint Research Centre of European Commission.
