Hurricane Dorian Damage

At its August 29, 2019 Special City Council Meeting, Council approved a waiver of all Building Permit fees for work related to damages associated with Hurricane Dorian (Resolution No, 2019-17). This includes any work to buildings, signs, fences, etc. You will be required to certify that the work is Hurricane Dorian related. The fee waiver is available owners through November 1, 2019.

Central/Canaveral Ditch Work

Contractors started cleaning the north end of the Central/Canaveral Ditch behind the South Gate Mobile Home Park this morning (Monday, September 9 at 8:00 a.m.). The goal of this stormwater system maintenance project is to assist the water flowing through the ditch, which in turn prevents flooding and increases the City's resiliency during storms. It is an extension of the already completed Brazilian Pepper Tree removal and mangrove trimming that was done on the west end of the ditch last month.
