"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10

In 1999, Julie Woodruff providentially met Scott and Michelle Kvandal when they both joined the engineering firm that Julie was currently working for.  Soon, Julie moved from the finance department and became Scott’s executive assistant for the next ten years. During that time, Julie watched  firsthand the journey God had set for Scott & Michelle to envision and develop what would become Su Refugio Ministries.

Growing up in a home where the importance of ministries and missionaries was prevalent, Julie has always had a heart for missions and has had the opportunity to serve at several orphanages including Romania, Tanzania and Mexico - but Su Refugio holds a special place in her heart. Julie and her husband Scott have both served on mission trips to Su Refugio in Paraguay and have supported a child at Su Refugio’s children home for many years. Julie said, “It has been an honor & privilege to have the opportunity to help provide for one of God’s beautiful children in need”. Their son Justin and his wife Molly also have been to Su Refugio in Paraguay. A short time after Justin’s visit, he brought his two young daughters along for a trip.  You can say their love of Su Refugio Ministries runs in the family!

Julie works full time and enjoys life with her husband Scott, their 4 adult children, and 14 grandchildren (yes 14, not a typo) who are located in San Diego and Stafford, Virginia.  Julie volunteers with Su Refugio Ministries here in the United States by helping with food packing events, assisting with mission training meetings and currently helps out our accountant with tracking contributions each month. Both Julie and Scott look forward to future mission trips with Su Refugio Ministries and are excited about how God plans to use them in the future according to His plans.

Father, We know how you uniquely crafted Julie and we appreciate her MANY giftings! We thank You for calling her to this ministry and for the servant heart she so willingly shares as we bless orphans and widows in Your worthy name. Please bless her and the work of her hands.
