Library Card Sign-Up Month!
September is Library Card Sign-up Month. During the month the library will be issuing free replacement cards.
With your library card you can access one of the many online databases from the library, check your account online and self-checkout!

 

Story Hour Returns!


Story Hour is a program for children 3-5 years of age. Join us for books, stories, songs, crafts, and much more! Held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10:30am-11:30am during September through the school year.

NEW this September!
An evening Story Hour will be held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30pm. Our first evening Story Hour will be Monday September 16th at 5:30pm.

New Program! A.T.L.A.S. (At the Library After School) Tuesdays @ 4pm

Recommended for ages 7+. Join us every Tuesday for our after school program where we'll discover and have fun together through books, activities, games, STEM, crafts, and more!
Friends of the Library Volunteer Member Meeting
Tuesday September 17th @ 4:30pm
The Friends of the Lied Public Library is an organization of book and library lovers who work together to promote the welfare and growth of the Lied Public Library.
 

Bryton Stoll - Community Concert Series

Saturday September 21st @ 2pm

Join the library for another community concert with Bryton Stoll. Please bring lawn chairs. Concert is free and will be held inside the library in the event of rain.

Stoll is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Northeast Kansas. He grew up in Marysville, a small town at the northern tip of the Flint Hills. He has enjoyed singing and performing for as long as he can remember.

In 2016, he recorded and released “Finger on the Trigger”, his debut, full-length, studio album, won Jim Halsey’s StarMaker Search music video contest, and performed shows opening for country greats Shenandoah and Clint Black. Since then, He has been playing shows across Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri while honing the craft of songwriting.

 

Trivia Night
Wednesday September 25th

Join a team of 6-8 to compete in 5 rounds of trivia. No cost. Open to those 16+. Contact the library (712-542-2416) to sign up or with questions. You can also sign up on EventBright.
Refreshments at own expense.

Hospice 101
Thursday September 26th 2pm

A free library program open to all ages. This program provides a general hospice overview that includes the hospice philosophy, eligibility, covered services and products, funding and the hospice/nursing team.
