Linnea Melbye joined the National Mining Association as a government affairs specialist earlier this month. The group is on track to spend more than $1.3 million on federal lobbying this year. Melbye comes from the office of Rep. Pete Stauber (R- Minn.), where she worked as a scheduler. Some people and organizations who "caught our eye" last week:
