The weather may be turning colder but things keep heating up at Spa Excess (105 Carlton St.) as we present Bears in Excess on Sept. 15 from 1 to 6 pm. The final bearBQ of 2019 will be held on the sundeck, so be sure to join us for some tasty grub!

Last month, we were happy to be asked to co-host our very first Bears in Excess event outside of Spa Excess — or Canada, for that matter! — in Budapest, Hungary. We would like to thank Janos and the staff of Magnum Sauna for all they did. In fact, we have great news to announce. In August 2020, we will be co-hosting two events at Magnum Sauna in Budapest. On Aug. 1, Chubs at the Tubs will be taking over Magnum, and then on Aug. 29, it will be Bears in Excess that will be taking over.

While the official time for the event is 1:00 pm, many people get their early to get a room, so if you want one, I would suggest getting there before 11:15 am (yes I know, it is early but more time to enjoy it all). If not, you will be given a locker and placed on a two to three-hour waiting list for a room. When a room becomes available, your locker number will be announced on the loudspeaker.
