Volunteer opportunity in Hillsdale neighborhood

Saturday, October 19, 10am-Noon.

Join us on SW Bertha Ct (in Hillsdale Town Center across from the Watershed apartment building) to add native plants (including edible berries!) and remove weeds in this native pollinator hedgerow. This planting area provides critical habitat for birds, bees, and other wildlife, and your help will ensure that it continues to thrive.

Snacks, tools, safety gear, and instruction will be provided. Sign up by simply calling or emailing the Watershed Resource Center (503-823-2862, watershed@swni.org).

Celebrate 75 years of conservation at the Sauvie Island Jubilee!

Saturday, September 28 from 10am-5pm at Howell Territorial Park.

Sauvie Island Jubilee is a fun-filled day of FREE activities for all ages. Come enjoy heirloom apple tastings, learn about the island’s history on a tour of the Bybee-Howell House, take your kids on a harvest scavenger hunt, or sit back with a meal and enjoy some local musicians.

West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District looks forward to sharing the day with our past, current, and future project landowners, our partner organizations, and all of our friends and family from Sauvie Island and beyond. More information on the day's festivities can be found here.
