Run Don't Walk to...

Taste of Georgetown! Foodies flock to K Street every fall (this year will be the 26th year) to feast on the latest and greatest from the food scene while enjoying beer, wine, music and games. This year, the festival takes place on Sunday, September 22 from 11:00am to 4:00pm along the scenic Georgetown waterfront between Wisconsin Avenue and Thomas Jefferson Street. The event is free to attend; attendees can purchase five "taste tickets" for $24, eight for $35, or 11 for $45. No need to feel guilty for indulging your inner foodie - all proceeds go to Georgetown Ministry Center's mission to support the homeless!

Good Eats...
Craving mom’s spaghetti? The Meatball Shop might be new in town but it’s taking on an old classic – spaghetti and meatballs. With a cozy yet modern diner-esque interior and a full bar, it’s no wonder that crowds have started to gather. The inventive menu includes six totally new takes on the classic meatball (like the crave-worthy buffalo chicken ball) that will keep you coming back for more.

With a relaxed casual atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating, Dukes Grocery is perfect for that end-of-summer weather, where community style outdoor benches play host to neighborhood regulars dining on delicious dishes like “Elote Locos” – Maryland sweet corn served in a miniature cast-iron skillet with crema Mexicana and cotija cheese. There’s a growing debate about whether or not Duke’s has the best burger in DC – see for yourself if their “Proper Burger” is truly “best in DC."
