AERIES MAGIC

Want to look at your child's attendance? Wondering how they are doing in their classes? Did you want to see your child's report card but can no longer find the paper?

Aeries, which can be accessed at parent.ousd.org, is a resource that you can use for all of the following tasks:

  • Check student attendance
  • Look up class schedule
  • Check on current grades
  • Look up former report cards
  • Check on test scores
  • And more!

It is expected, to support students, that families are looking at parent.ousd.org weekly with their child to see how they are doing.

If this is your first time logging in, it will ask you for a few pieces of information. One of which, you can only get from the school — a verification code. We have been hearing from families that they are sending another verification code via email, but it unfortunately is not the one needed. Please email lacy.lefkowitz@ousd.org for all the info you need to log in and support your student!

CLAREMONT CARES

We have a family in our community who is experiencing the unexpected loss of a family member. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with the immediate and long term financial needs that this sudden death has caused. If you are able to provide any level of support, it would be greatly appreciated. See Mrs Anderson if you have any further questions.

REMINDER: GIVE TO THE CLAREMONT FUND

We've raised more than $20,000 so far for Claremont's annual fund, on our way to our goal is of $110,000. We are asking families who can, to give $1,000 this year ($125 per month until June 1). But any amount is greatly appreciated. Please go here to find out how to give via PayPal or check, and to find out more about corporate matching. Thank you!

KEEP DONATIONS COMING FOR THE AUCTION

We are counting down the days now before the Claremont online auction (Oct. 10) and the auction party (Oct. 26) so keep coming up with great things we can offer! Here's what you can do:

Rockridge Out and About - Drop off a bottle of wine or two to donate to the auction's Instant Wine Cellar. If you have wine to donate, and can't make it to Rockridge Out and About, contact Genevieve Sexton. Also purchase wine cellar raffle tickets.

Donate Donate Donate - a service, an item, an idea for something cool, a vacation home, a gift certificate, Warriors tickets. You name it, we want to know about it. Please contact Auction Chair Caroline Stern

Party People! Part of the auction is auctioning off parties hosted by Claremont parents  throughout the year. Add your event to the auction and get together with old and new friends. If you already have an idea for a party and are ready to host, you can fill out this form here: Auction Party Donation. If you have any questions please contact our auction party team Micki and Amy

An example: A Back to School cocktail party is on Sept. 21 (it offered at last year's auction), and there are still tickets! Go here to buy or e-mail Sarah Drekmeier to pay by cash or check. Tickets are $50 each and 100% of ticket sales support Claremont Middle School!

Sponsor the auction! If you own a business and are interested in becoming an auction sponsor, we have plenty of spots left. Sponsorship includes publicity in online and print auction communications and more. Contact Leslie Ayers (ayersleslie72@gmail.com or 415-260-1490) for details.

ZUMBA FRIDAYS!

Come dance with us! Zumba is a dance fitness class for all ages and levels (kids must have an adult with them.) Just wear comfy clothes and bring a water bottle. Be ready to sweat, smile and meet some of your Claremont community. Note: Because of our great new field we will no longer be parking on school grounds. I will have the door/gate open on Birch court. Questions: Contact Sara Kahn

Do you have an item for the Knightline?

Email your submission to news@claremontms.org. Submissions should be brief (100 to 200 words is best) and thoughtfully written, with essential times, dates and contact info included. Please remember that the Knightline is published by volunteers; extra care in preparing your item for publication will help us get your message out to the Claremont community.
