Items of note for this week

Western Safety Group meeting

Last week the Western Safety Group held its monthly meeting. The draft minutes from the meeting are available by clicking here. One item of note for staff to come from the meeting is with regards to satellite phones and the issue of dead batteries being in these phones. Any staff member that has a satellite phone is asked to keep their sat phone charged and to carry out a test call once a month. Jenni will be in touch soon with custodians to confirm the sat phone location, number and rego.

Rangeland rehabilitation funding opportunity for landholders

The latest rangeland rehab program is now open with the guidelines and application form on our website under the grants and funding tab. Charlie will be working with Paul to promote this opportunity through the usual communication channels and staff are asked to help by promoting the opportunity to their local networks. For further information on the program contact Paul.

Promotional items - what is in your office or back shed?

Charlie is looking into organising some more merchandise for staff to use at local events, field days etc. Before he places and order, can staff please check to see what their current levels are and send him an email if they have a decent amount of a particular item which could be shared around with other offices? Information on the resources that are around the region can be seen by clicking here. Some of the items Charlie is looking to purchasing are:
  • caps
  • pocket notebooks
  • reusable coffee cups
  • calico bags
  • colouring in pencil sets for kids.
