GARETH VANNET

Sunday 3rd November at 10:30am

Gareth Vannet was born in Scotland, he is passionate about sharing the love of God and works with those who have been lost to chaotic living and addictions. Gareth is currently senior manager of a supported housing service for post recovery men. He leads worship in a band called Novaturient and is part of the core team at Victory Church Chepstow.

He also had a featured story in Elim Direction magazine in July 2017, sharing how the grace of God and an encounter with Jesus turned his life around. The love of christ shown through the fellowship of his local Church in Scotland and it’s congregation.

The Potters Wheel

Jeremiah 18: 1-7

As the potter moulded or shaped a clay pot on the potter’s wheel, defects often appeared. The potter had power over the clay, to permit the defects to remain or to reshape the pot. Likewise, God had power to reshape the nation to conform to his purposes. Our strategy should not be to become mindless and passive—one aspect of clay—but to be willing and receptive to God’s impact on us. As we yield to God, he begins reshaping us into valuable vessels.
