"I could not believe my luck when I was picked  for Cambridge in my first year. Two years later I was in the England team. I’ll never forget how much the Varsity experience helped shape my game, and the Cambridge education shaped my subsequent career.” – Rob Andrew
Oxford and Cambridge University rugby clubs will be playing at Twickenham on 12 December 2019 when the women's and men's teams from Cambridge take on the Dark Blues of Oxford.

Bring your girls and boys to watch some of the best amateur rugby played by Britain’s brightest students. The women’s match in particular is one of the very few played at this historic stadium.

To enhance further the value of this rare day out at Twickenham, the two Universities will be bringing top class educational experiences from:

- admissions staff of the two Universities to bust some of the myths of access to Oxford and Cambridge (please note places are limited).

the former England U18 rugby coach, Russell Earnshaw, will be leading an exclusive skills session on the artificial pitch for groups from 3 schools chosen at random from those who have booked tickets.
One school will be chosen in each month, September through to November inclusive, so book early to maximise your chance of winning this once in a lifetime opportunity for your pupils.

- trainers from the Lions Sports Academy to hone rugby skills in passing, kicking and line-out throwing in the FunZone
 - world experts from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation team to talk about the peril of plastics in the Ocean (please note places are limited).  Click on the image for more information.
Every school attending the Varsity will be given class packs from  Whale and Dolphin Conservation and a sample pack can be downloaded here.

We are also running a Haka competition which will give the opportunity for classes to learn about the cultural background of the Maori Haka (their women’s team have chosen the New Zealand dolphin as their mascot).
We are asking schools to send in videos of their Haka before 30 November and 5 schools will be selected to perform their Haka at the Varsity Match at Twickenham, when one school will be crowned the Varsity Match Haka Champion 2019

There will of course be a rush to take the places at these events, indeed 800 out of the 1,000 seats are already taken for the Oxbridge admissions staff talks, so please don’t delay – book your tickets and register for the events today.
