Time Bank
Information Session

Tuesday, September 17, 7pm, at the Philmont Library
*Hosted by Free Columbia

Come find out how a time bank can help you and your neighbors.

What is a time bank?

It’s a community of people who support each other by exchanging favors and services. Members use a simple web-based system to list what they want to give and receive. The system also tracks time exchanges in each member's account.

What’s so great about it?

You get to know your neighbors and become part of an extended “family” of caring individuals in your own neighborhood. We need each other. Community is built by sinking roots, building trust, creating networks that are built on mutual respect and commitment.

Everyone is an asset. Everyone has something to contribute.

You’re able to stretch your money by trading favors and getting help that you couldn’t otherwise afford.

Common types of services & exchanges
  • Shopping for others
  • Minor home repair
  • Car rides
  • Dog walking
  • Massage
  • Computer help
  • Interior design
  • Sewing
And so much more!
