We're looking for a passionate, professional and organized person to join our Flagstaff team as Programs Manager.
The mission of the Azulita Project is to promote environmental conservation and community health through solution-based programs and education. Founded in 2008, the Azulita Project began as a response to the overuse of agricultural pesticides and rampant marine plastic pollution plaguing communities along the Pacific coast of Guerrero, Mexico. The Project has evolved since its first iteration and today the Azulita team primarily focuses its plastic waste reduction programs and outreach in Flagstaff, Arizona. A 501(c)3 nonprofit, Azulita remains a volunteer-led organization, with unpaid Board Members playing a major role in program development and delivery.  For more information, please visit AzulitaProject.org. 
 
Position Description
The Programs Manager oversees Azulita program development and delivery,  streamlines management systems, monitors budgets, serves in a supervisory role to other staff and interns, and improves organizational efficiency. The Programs Manager is tasked with developing programs to support Azulita’s mission as well as creating and managing long-term goals. The Programs Manager assists the Azulita Board and administrative team with developing operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals. Key project areas include managing Azulita’s current focus areas: Strive for 5 education program; Straw Free Flag campaign; outreach, social media and tabling; plastic-free schools and events.
 
Details
This is a 10 hours a week, year-round hourly position. Work days are Wednesdays and Fridays; work is completed primarily from home. Pay range is $16 to $18 an hour.
